Great Community Give 2023
We’re counting down the days to April 19th and the Great Community Give. We aim to raise $4,000 for scholarships for students of our housing choice voucher families. We are able to do this through our 501c3 arm – Shenandoah Housing Corp.
Here are some easy ways you can help:
- Share! Online giving days succeed through networking. Help us expand our reach by sending this email to your network and ask your friends to do the same.
- Be socially (media) active! Post on Facebook, tweet about Great Community Give, and share your love for your particular passion, whether it’s education, housing, health care, or animals. Ask others to do the same.
- Become a fundraising champion. Everyone loves a champion, including us! We really need fundraising champions to help drive people to our Great Community Give profile on April 19th. Contact Kim Haines at email@example.com for more information on how to become a fundraising champion!
Making a Gift
Give online: The best option is to give online through the GCG platform on April 19 from 6:30 am to 8 pm. The minimum gift is $10. We have matching funds from United Bank and Litten & Sipe that will double your gift. Giving is secure, and donations are tax-deductible.

If you prefer to give by check, you must give between April 5 and 4pm April 18. Make checks payable to Shenandoah Housing Corporation and mail or bring to HRHA offices. Include Great Community Give in the memo line. Everything ends April 19 at 8pm, and we must enter offline gifts into the system before then. No late gifts will count. Early gifts can count toward matches and challenges.
Early giving opens April 5 on the GCG platform. The link to our profile page where you can donate will start working then. Early gifts will not count toward the day’s prizes.
