About the board

The CAB was created to empower residents, deepen their engagement and participation, and ensure that resident priorities are meaningfully reflected in agency planning and decision-making. The Board is composed of 11 elected resident representatives, including participants from the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program and residents of Franklin Heights, Lineweaver Annex, and Commerce Village.

Through bi-monthly meetings and direct collaboration with HRHA leadership, CAB members help shape the agency’s strategies and advocate for policies and programs that reflect community needs. As HRHA continues to expand its MtW activities, the CAB plays an essential role in promoting accountability, transparency, and resident-driven solutions. The CAB also organizes events for residents with the aim to bring the community together and fun activities for youth.

Broader community partnership

The HRHA Community Advisory Board is committed to a broader, community-oriented mission. Its focus is on strengthening the community and addressing resident safety, mental health, and overall well-being through meaningful collaboration. The CAB is open to working with community partners to support engagement and efforts related to our community — including research, redevelopment, and other initiatives affecting nearby neighborhoods.
